On the error indicator, you can see what might be wrong if the robotic lawnmower has stopped.
Meaning of the indicator light on the charging station
- Lights green: The boundary cable is connected correctly, the robotic lawnmower is ready, and the battery is fully charged.
- Flashes green: There is a break in the boundary cable. The ends of the boundary cable are connected incorrectly at the charging station. Correct the error.
- Lights red: The battery is charging.
- Flashes alternately green and red: Maintenance charging of the battery (trickle charging).
Note! If the error indicator flashes red on the robotic lawnmower, there may be issues with the signal from the boundary cable:
- The robot is outside the boundary cable.
- The boundary cable is too long (over 250 m).
- The boundary cable is incorrectly assembled, there is moisture in a joint, or an incorrect joint sleeve has been used.
- The boundary cable must NOT be stripped when using joint sleeves.
Error Indicator:
Lights red:
The robotic lawnmower is lifted
- The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the lift sensors are continuously activated for 10 seconds. If the robotic lawnmower reports an error due to the lift sensors, press the "OK" button to restart it.
- If the error occurs multiple times, check the work area.
- Ensure to remove obstacles that are over 100 mm high that the robotic lawnmower may drive up.
- Use a regular lawnmower to cut grass that is higher than 60 mm.
The robotic lawnmower is stuck
- If the obstacle sensors are activated more than 5 times in a minute, the robotic lawnmower will report an error.
- Press the "OK" button to restart the robotic lawnmower.
- If the error occurs multiple times, check if the boundary cable is laid out correctly. The error can often occur in places that are too narrow or cramped for the robotic lawnmower to continue after changing direction.
- Check for obstacles such as branches or similar that may restrict the robotic lawnmower's freedom of movement.
Error at the shield
- There are four magnets in the robotic lawnmower's shield. If there is metal between the magnets and the shield, it can cause an error.
- Remove any metal pieces from the magnets and restart the robotic lawnmower.
Flashes red:
Error with the boundary cable's signal
- The robotic lawnmower turns around, stops, and reports an error if it has gone outside the work area or if there is an error with the boundary cable.
- Ensure that the entire robotic lawnmower is within the defined work area. If it is outside, it cannot find the signal or return to the charging station.
- Walk along the cable and check for breaks or damage. If the cable is damaged, it should be repaired or replaced.
- Look at the indicator light on the charging station. If it flashes green, it may indicate a problem with the cable.
- Remove the ends of the boundary cable from the charging station and measure the resistance in the cable with a multimeter. A new cable has about 2 Ohms per 100 meters.
If the resistance is more than 8-10 Ohms, the cable should either be repaired or replaced.
Lights blue:
Battery error
- If the robotic lawnmower reports an error, it may be due to a defective battery.
- Replace the defective battery with a new original battery with the same specifications.
- If the robot's battery indicator lights red, the battery is simply discharged.
- Connect the robotic lawnmower to the charging station and perform a manual charge.
Flashes blue:
Abnormal battery temperature
Note! The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the battery operates outside the temperature range of 0-75 °C or when charging outside of 0-45 °C.
- If this occurs, the robotic lawnmower will return to the charging station to charge the battery and achieve a safe temperature.
- The risk of error is highest in summer, especially if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun.
- To avoid this problem, it may be beneficial to change the robotic lawnmower's start time to earlier in the day when the temperature is lower.
Charging error
- Ensure that the charging poles on both the charging station and the robotic lawnmower are clean. Use a dry cloth to wipe them off if they are dirty.
- Check that the charging poles fit correctly into the charging socket on the robotic lawnmower. They should be secure and have good contact.
- If the battery is completely flat, it may be necessary to perform a manual charge.
Note! procedure for manual charging
- Pull the robotic lawnmower out of the charging station.
- Set the main switch to the OFF position and wait 5 seconds.
- Set the main switch to the ON position and push the robotic lawnmower back into the charging station.
- DO NOT turn on the robotic lawnmower using the Power button.
- The indicator light on the charging station may take up to 1 hour to switch to red if the battery voltage is very low.
- When the indicator light turns green, charging is complete, and the robotic lawnmower is fully charged.
Overheating of the circuit board
- The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the circuit board overheats. The robotic lawnmower will return to the charging station to achieve a stable temperature.
- The risk of this is highest in summer, if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun. It may be beneficial to change the robotic lawnmower's
start time so that it starts earlier in the day when it is not yet so hot.
The robotic lawnmower has tipped over
- If the robotic lawnmower tips over, it will stop and report an error.
- Turn the robotic lawnmower right side up and press "OK" to start it again.
- If the error is due to a steep slope, change the routing of the boundary cable to avoid this.
The robotic lawnmower is overloaded
- The motors of the robotic lawnmower are protected against overload. If this error occurs, it is likely due to the grass being too high for
the robotic lawnmower, or that the cutting disc and wheels are blocked by cut grass, mud, or similar.
- Cut high grass with a regular lawnmower, and clean the robotic lawnmower.
There is an obstacle on the boundary cable
- If an obstacle on or near the boundary cable prevents the robotic lawnmower from driving up to the charging station, it will try several times and then stop.
Remove the obstacle.
