INSTALLATION AND PLACEMENT OF CHARGING STATION
Placement of the charging station:
- Ensure that there is a 230V power outlet nearby. Alternatively, an extension cable can be run to the desired position.
- The flat entrance area of the charging station should face to the right.
The placement of the charging station can be done in two ways:
- Along one of the sides (A)
- In a corner (B)
If the charging station is placed in a corner (B):
- Ensure that the boundary cable can go behind the charging station as close to the back panel as possible (<1 cm) and into the socket, as shown in the illustration (B).
- There will be a small area behind the charging station that cannot be mowed. This area can be paved with tiles or stones instead of grass.
- It is recommended to have 1-2 metres of extra cable available, if possible. See the section “Connect the boundary cable”.
The charging station must be placed:
- On a completely flat surface.
- With a completely straight run of at least 1 metre in front of the charging station to ensure that the robotic lawn mower has the correct approach to the charging station. This is important to adhere to.
Lightning Protection:
- To protect the robotic lawn mower from lightning strikes, it is not recommended to place the charging station under or near a tall tree.
- Do not run an extension lead to the charging station around tall trees.
- It is recommended that the robotic lawn mower does not operate during thunderstorms to avoid damage to electronic components from lightning strikes.
- During thunderstorms, it is recommended to disconnect the power from the charging station and, if possible, disconnect the boundary cable.
Securing the Charging Station:
- Secure the charging station with the 6 included screws/stakes.
- Ensure that the area “OUT” faces out towards the edge of the lawn.
- Once you have found the correct position and set up the charging station, do NOT connect the power yet. First, the boundary cable must be laid out and connected to the charging station. Then the power can be connected.
