Step 1: Find a good location
- Open area: Install the charging station in an open area with a flat surface.
- Grass height: Ensure that the grass height in front of the charging station is less than 10 cm (4 inches) so that the mower can come out and return to the station.
- WiFi coverage: Place the charging station in a location that is covered by your home's WiFi.
- Near the boundary: Place the charging station near the boundary and orient it clockwise along the edge of the lawn.
- Distance to boundary: The charging station must be at least 25 cm away from the boundary, and there should be no obstacles within 2 m from the front of the charging station on the lawn. The distance from the front of the charging station to the boundary should not be less than 2 meters.
- Clear boundary: Ensure that the lawn's boundary near the charging station is clear and in a straight line.
Step 2: Secure the charging station
- Secure the charging station: Nail the charging station down on a non-hardened and flat surface.
- Connect power: Connect the power adapter and cable to the power supply. If there is a certain distance between the charging station and the power supply, the charging cable should be properly secured to the ground and wall for safe operation.
Lightning protection:
- To protect the robotic lawn mower from lightning strikes, it is not recommended to place the charging station under or near a tall tree.
- Do not run extension cords to the charging station around tall trees.
- It is recommended that the robotic lawn mower does not operate during thunderstorms to avoid damage to electronic components from lightning strikes.
- During thunderstorms, it is recommended to disconnect the power from the charging station and, if possible, disconnect the boundary cable.
