Basic functional principles of the robot lawn mower: The robot lawn mower chooses its driving pattern randomly. This means that it does not follow a specific pattern but moves randomly around the garden. This implies that over a week of mowing, it will cover the entire lawn area within the boundary wire.
Driving to the Charging Station
When the battery is low, the robot lawn mower will automatically find the boundary wire and drive counterclockwise back to the charging station. It will recharge and then continue the mowing cycle.
Detection of Boundary Wire
When the robot lawn mower approaches the boundary wire, the sensors installed at the front of the cover will detect it. However, to ensure an optimal mowing result, the robot will drive over the boundary wire with the front approximately 10-12 cm (where it does not mow).
It is important to take this into account when the user lays the boundary wire in the garden.
Stop the Robot
The robot lawn mower is stopped by pressing the red STOP button, whether it is mowing or on its way back to the charging station.
Adjusting the Mowing Height
The robot lawn mower can be set to a mowing height between 20-60 mm. If the grass is taller than 60 mm when the robot is installed, it is necessary to first mow the grass with a conventional lawn mower to avoid overloading the robot's blades and to achieve a satisfactory mowing result as well as to prevent the machine from getting stuck. It is recommended to start by setting the mowing height to the maximum (60 mm) and gradually lowering the mowing height over a few days until the desired grass height is achieved.
The mowing height is adjusted by pressing the STOP button (if the robot is running). When the robot is stationary, the mowing height can be adjusted by turning the height adjustment knob on top of the robot (see the image). The robot lawn mower can mow grass even when it is wet, but this will lead to greater accumulation of grass under the robot, increased friction on the blades, higher noise levels, and an increased risk of the machine getting stuck. Remove the grass with a soft brush (always completely turn off the robot before working near the blades).
Mowing Limitations for Robot Lawn Mower
If you and your neighbour both have a robot lawn mower, there should be at least 1 metre between the boundary wires to avoid signal interference.
Set up the charging station at least 10 metres from your neighbour's boundary wire.
If your neighbour's robot lawn mower is from a different manufacturer, maintain a distance of 2 metres to avoid interference.
