Using the app and setting the mowing time.
Home screen
The app offers more features than the robot's display. Here are the main ones.
Home
Once logged in and after pressing the robot, you are on the home screen, where you can see an overview of the robot, its battery status, whether it has Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection, and if the robot is in standby mode or operating.
Further down, there are 3 round buttons: RETURN – WORK – STOP
If the robot is in operation and you wish to return it to the starting position, you must first press STOP and then "RETURN".
To start the robot manually, you must first press STOP (so the WORK button turns white) and then press "WORK".
In general, the STOP button must be pressed first before you can choose "RETURN" or "WORK".
Schedule
Under "schedule", you can see the planned mowing times and set when the robot should operate.
Press "Edit" to modify the schedule.
- Press the day of the week you wish to set the robot to operate.
- Then select the start time and end time and press "Confirm".
- Edge mowing: In the top line "edge" (under "Edit"), a blue tick can be set if the robot should edge mow the first time it starts. The robot will then follow the boundary wire all the way around and mow along it (note that the robot will still leave an uncut edge of grass, as the blade cannot cut all the way to the edge for safety reasons).
- If the robot is started manually via START + OK on the display, it will not edge mow.
- To avoid wheel tracks, it is recommended to only select "edge" a few days a week.
- Press "Save" when the schedule is complete.
- If you have a large lawn, the robot should operate more frequently than if the lawn is smaller.
- If the lawn is close to the robot's maximum capacity, it will likely need to operate every day for longer periods. The layout of the lawn also affects how much the robot needs to operate to keep the grass down. A single rectangular lawn without obstacles is quicker to mow compared to a lawn with narrow passages and many obstacles, as the robot will need to spend more time stopping and changing direction.
It is recommended to experiment and observe the results of the mowing on the lawn. The robot should not operate more than necessary to avoid wheel tracks in the grass. During the growing season and when it rains a lot, it should operate more frequently than in dry periods.
At certain times, the grass is moist in the early morning and late in the day. Afternoon is typically the best time.
