On the error indicator, you can see what might be wrong if the robotic lawn mower has stopped.
Meaning of the indicator light on the charging station
- Green light: The boundary wire is connected correctly, the robotic lawn mower is ready, and the battery is fully charged.
- Flashing green: There is a break in the boundary wire. The ends of the boundary wire are connected incorrectly at the charging station. Correct the error.
- Red light: The battery is charging.
- Alternating green and red: Maintenance charging of the battery (trickle charging).
Note! If the error indicator is flashing red on the robotic lawn mower, there may be issues with the boundary wire signal:
- The robot is outside the boundary wire.
- The boundary wire is too long (over 250 m).
- The boundary wire is incorrectly assembled, there is moisture in a joint, or an incorrect connector has been used.
- The boundary wire MUST NOT be stripped using connectors.
Error Indicator:
Red light:
The robotic lawn mower is lifted
- The robotic lawn mower reports an error if the lift sensors are continuously activated for 10 seconds. If the robotic lawn mower reports an error due to the lift sensors, press the "OK" button to restart it.
- If the error occurs multiple times, inspect the working area.
- Ensure to remove obstacles that are over 100 mm high that the robotic lawn mower could run up against.
- Use a conventional lawn mower to cut grass that is higher than 60 mm.
The robotic lawn mower is stuck
- If the obstacle sensors are activated more than 5 times in a minute, the robotic lawn mower will report an error.
- Press the "OK" button to restart the robotic lawn mower.
- If the error occurs multiple times, check if the boundary wire is laid out correctly. The error can often occur in places that are too narrow or cramped for the robotic lawn mower to continue after changing direction.
- Check for obstacles such as branches or similar that may restrict the robotic lawn mower's freedom of movement.
Error with the shield
- There are four magnets in the robotic lawn mower's shield. If there is metal between the magnets and the shield, it can cause errors.
- Remove any metal pieces from the magnets and restart the robotic lawn mower.
Flashing red:
Error with the boundary wire signal
- The robotic lawn mower spins around, stops, and reports an error if it has gone outside the working area, or if there is an error with the boundary wire.
- Ensure that the entire robotic lawn mower is within the defined working area. If it is outside, it cannot find the signal or return to the charging station.
- Walk along the wire and check for breaks or damage. If the wire is damaged, it should be repaired or replaced.
- Look at the indicator light on the charging station. If it is flashing green, it may indicate a problem with the wire.
- Remove the ends of the boundary wire from the charging station and measure the resistance in the wire with a multimeter. A new wire has about 2 Ohm per 100 meters.
If the resistance is more than 8-10 Ohm, the wire should either be repaired or replaced.
Blue light:
Battery error
- If the robotic lawn mower reports an error, it may be due to a defective battery.
- Replace the defective battery with a new original battery with the same specifications.
- If the robot's battery indicator is red, the battery is simply discharged.
- Connect the robotic lawn mower to the charging station and perform a manual charge.
Flashing blue:
Abnormal battery temperature
Note! The robotic lawn mower reports an error if the battery operates outside the temperature range of 0-75 °C or during charging outside of 0-45 °C.
- If this happens, the robotic lawn mower will return to the charging station to charge the battery and achieve a safe temperature.
- The risk of error is highest in summer, especially if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun.
- To avoid this problem, it may be beneficial to change the robotic lawn mower's start time to earlier in the day when the temperature is lower.
Charging error
- Ensure that the charging poles on both the charging station and the robotic lawn mower are clean. Use a dry cloth to wipe them if they are dirty.
- Check that the charging poles fit correctly into the charging socket on the robotic lawn mower. They should fit snugly and have good contact.
- If the battery is completely flat, it may be necessary to perform a manual charge.
Note! Procedure for manual charging
- Pull the robotic lawn mower out of the charging station.
- Set the main switch to the OFF position and wait 5 seconds.
- Set the main switch to the ON position and push the robotic lawn mower back into the charging station again.
- DO NOT turn on the robotic lawn mower with the Power button.
- The indicator light on the charging station may take up to 1 hour to change to red if the battery voltage is very low.
- When the indicator light turns green, the charging is complete, and the robotic lawn mower is fully charged.
Overheating of the circuit board
- The robotic lawn mower reports an error if the circuit board overheats. The robotic lawn mower will return to the charging station to achieve a stable temperature.
- The risk of this is highest in summer if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun. It may be beneficial to change the robotic lawn mower's
start time so that it starts earlier in the day when it is not yet so warm.
The robotic lawn mower has tipped over
- If the robotic lawn mower tips over, it will stop and report an error.
- Right the robotic lawn mower and press "OK" to start it again.
- If the error is due to a steep slope, change the routing of the boundary wire to avoid this.
The robotic lawn mower is overloaded
- The robotic lawn mower's motors are protected against overload. If this error occurs, it is likely because the grass is too high for
the robotic lawn mower, or that the cutting disc and wheels are blocked by cut grass, mud, or similar.
- Cut high grass with a conventional lawn mower and clean the robotic lawn mower.
There is an obstacle on the boundary wire
- If an obstacle on or near the boundary wire prevents the robotic lawn mower from driving up to the charging station, it will try a few times and then stop.
- Remove the obstacle.
