On the error indicator, you can see what might be wrong if the robotic lawnmower has stopped.
Meaning of the indicator light on the charging station
- Lights green: The boundary wire is connected correctly, the robotic lawnmower is ready, and the battery is fully charged.
- Flashes green: There is a break in the boundary wire. The ends of the boundary wire are connected incorrectly at the charging station. Correct the error.
- Lights red: The battery is charging.
- Flashes alternately green and red: Maintenance charging of the battery (trickle charging).
Note! If the error indicator on the robotic lawnmower flashes red, there may be issues with the signal from the boundary wire:
- The robot is outside the boundary wire.
- The boundary wire is too long (over 250 m).
- The boundary wire is incorrectly assembled, there is moisture in a connection, or an incorrect connector has been used.
- The boundary wire MUST NOT be stripped when using connectors.
Error indicator:
Lights red:
The robotic lawnmower is lifted
- The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the lift sensors are continuously activated for 10 seconds. If the robotic lawnmower reports an error due to the lift sensors, press the "OK" button to restart it.
- If the error occurs multiple times, check the working area.
- Make sure to remove obstacles that are over 100 mm high that the robotic lawnmower could drive up.
- Use a regular lawnmower to cut grass that is higher than 60 mm.
The robotic lawnmower is stuck
- If the obstacle sensors are activated more than 5 times in a minute, the robotic lawnmower will report an error.
- Press the "OK" button to start the robotic lawnmower again.
- If the error occurs multiple times, check whether the boundary wire is laid out correctly. The error can often occur in places that are too narrow or cramped for the robotic lawnmower to continue after changing direction.
- Check for obstacles such as branches or similar that may restrict the robotic lawnmower's freedom of movement.
Error at the shield
- There are four magnets in the robotic lawnmower's shield. If there is metal between the magnets and the shield, it may cause an error.
- Remove any metal pieces from the magnets and restart the robotic lawnmower.
Flashes red:
Error with the boundary wire's signal
- The robotic lawnmower spins around, stops, and reports an error if it has gone outside the working area, or if there is an error with the boundary wire.
- Ensure that the entire robotic lawnmower is within the defined working area. If it is outside, it cannot find the signal or return to the charging station.
- Walk along the wire and check for breaks or damage. If the wire is damaged, it needs to be repaired or replaced.
- Look at the indicator light on the charging station. If it flashes green, it may indicate a problem with the wire.
- Remove the ends of the boundary wire from the charging station and measure the resistance in the wire with a multimeter. A new wire has approximately 2 Ohm per 100 meters.
If the resistance is more than 8-10 Ohm, the wire needs to be either repaired or replaced.
Lights blue:
Battery error
- If the robotic lawnmower reports an error, it may be due to a defective battery.
- Replace the defective battery with a new original battery with the same specifications.
- If the robot's battery indicator lights red, the battery is simply discharged.
- Connect the robotic lawnmower to the charging station and perform a manual charge.
Flashes blue:
Abnormal battery temperature
Note! The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the battery during operation goes outside the temperature range of 0-75 °C or during charging outside 0-45 °C.
- If this happens, the robotic lawnmower will return to the charging station to charge the battery and achieve a safe temperature.
- The risk of error is greatest in summer, especially if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun.
- To avoid this problem, it may be beneficial to change the robotic lawnmower's start time to earlier in the day when the temperature is lower.
Charging error
- Ensure that the charging poles on both the charging station and the robotic lawnmower are clean. Use a dry cloth to wipe them if they are dirty.
- Check that the charging poles fit correctly into the charging socket on the robotic lawnmower. They should be secure and have good contact.
- If the battery is completely flat, a manual charge may be necessary.
Note! procedure for manual charging
- Pull the robotic lawnmower out of the charging station.
- Set the main switch to the OFF position and wait 5 seconds.
- Set the main switch to the ON position and push the robotic lawnmower back into the charging station again.
- DO NOT turn on the robotic lawnmower using the Power button.
- The indicator light on the charging station may take up to 1 hour to change to red if the battery voltage is very low.
- When the indicator light turns green, the charging is complete, and the robotic lawnmower is fully charged.
Overheating of the circuit board
- The robotic lawnmower reports an error if the circuit board overheats. The robotic lawnmower will return to the charging station to achieve a stable temperature.
- The risk of this is greatest in summer if the outdoor temperature approaches 35 °C in the sun. It may be beneficial to change the robotic lawnmower's
start time so that it starts earlier in the day when it is not yet so warm.
The robotic lawnmower has tipped over
- If the robotic lawnmower tips over, it stops and reports an error.
- Turn the robotic lawnmower the right way up and press "OK" to start it again.
- If the error is due to a steep slope, change the routing of the boundary wire to avoid this.
The robotic lawnmower is overloaded
- The robotic lawnmower's motors are protected against overload. If this error occurs, it is likely because the grass is too high for
the robotic lawnmower, or that the cutting disc and wheels are blocked by cut grass, mud, or similar.
- Cut high grass with a regular lawnmower and clean the robotic lawnmower.
There is an obstacle on the boundary wire
- If an obstacle on or near the boundary wire prevents the robotic lawnmower from driving up to the charging station, it will try a few times and then stop
afterwards. Remove the obstacle.
