Boundary Wire
- Use the measuring tool to maintain 20 cm between the wire and the boundary (30 cm for ULTRA 2000m2)
- Place the cable stakes approximately 80 cm apart. Adjust closer if the ground is uneven.
- The boundary wire must not exceed 300 m.
- Ensure at least 1 metre between the boundary wires if both you and your neighbour have robotic lawn mowers.
- Place the charging station at least 10 metres away from the neighbour’s boundary wire.
- If the neighbour’s robotic lawn mower is from a different manufacturer, maintain at least 2 metres distance from their boundary wire.
If an obstacle is level with the ground and safe for the mower to drive over, such as a driveway or pavement, only 8 cm of space is required between it and the boundary wire.
Setting Up Islands and Requirements for Narrow Passages
Note: If you do not want the mower to enter certain areas of the lawn, such as flower beds, bushes, or trees, you can create an "island" with the boundary wire. The mower can pass through narrow passages that are at least 0.8 metres wide.
Ensure that the boundary wire is completely straight at each corner, and that all angles formed by the boundary wire are 90° or greater.
If the garden pond or swimming pool does not have a high edge (at least 10 cm), it must be enclosed with boundary wire or fencing.
The boundary wire must be placed at least 1 metre from the water's edge instead of the normal 20 cm, to prevent the robot from slipping over the edge in wet weather.
